Heidi Kling - Therapist for New York Couples and Individuals
A winner of the B’nai B’rith Brotherhood Award, Heidi Kling provides therapy for individuals and couples in New York City. As a therapist, Heidi Kling uses an open dialogue approach to enhance her clients’ self-awareness and self-acceptance, communication skills, and emotional balance.
Dr. Kling opened her private practice in 2000. Prior to that, she served in a variety of clinical settings in the New York region. Most recently, she was a staff psychologist and supervisor at the Village Institute for Psychotherapy and the senior clinical coordinator for the Program for Managing Eating Disorders at Gracie Square Hospital. In the late 1990s, Dr. Kling worked on the staff of St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center as an outpatient, inpatient, and addiction specialist, as well as being a clinical assistant for its women’s health program. Earlier, she ran a therapy group for adult children of alcoholics at the Adelphi University Center for Psychological Services and was a psychology extern in the psychiatry department at Harlem Hospital.
A member of the New York State Psychology Association, Heidi Kling enjoys yoga and reading, particularly historical fiction. She is well traveled, having visited cities including Amsterdam, Brussels, Granada, and Vienna, among many others.
